Temperature: chiller vs freezer
Most event units run 0 to 8 °C (chiller mode) which is correct for raw protein, prepared meals, dairy, drinks and flowers. We can run the same unit at -18 °C (freezer mode) for ice creams, frozen canapés and ice — just specify at booking so we set it 12 hours ahead.
Power and placement
- Standard 15A or 32A plug point depending on unit size.
- Generator backup available — most weddings use it.
- Position within 20 m of the kitchen/back-of-house tent.
- Reasonably level surface, with truck access for drop-off.
- Always leave one clear side for door opening (1.2 m minimum).
Caterer-friendly features
