Sites with more than 30 workers, or with a mix of male and female staff, should add dedicated units and a separate handwash station. The Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Construction Regulations require the principal contractor to provide sufficient, accessible and hygienic toilet facilities plus washing facilities for everyone on site. In practice inspectors look for enough units for the headcount, units kept clean and stocked, safe placement away from hazards, and evidence of regular servicing. Our service dockets give you that paper trail: every visit is recorded with the date, units serviced and consumables replaced.
A construction toilet that is serviced once a month becomes a health complaint. Standard Fumuno site contracts include weekly servicing: waste pumped out, tank recharged with chemical, unit washed down inside, and toilet paper replaced. High-traffic sites move to twice-weekly or daily servicing. Servicing is priced per unit per visit, so you only pay for the frequency your site actually needs.
Units need firm, level ground and a clear path for our service truck within roughly 25 metres of the unit. We can place toilets on scaffolding decks, in basements or on upper floors where crane or hoist access is available. As the build moves, we reposition units on the same site at no extra delivery charge — just call the office a day ahead.
Construction hire is quoted as a monthly rental per unit plus a servicing rate per visit, with delivery and collection charged once. Multi-unit sites and contracts over three months get stepped rates. We invoice monthly against a purchase order and can supply a rate card for tender documents on request.
